Paarl

In contrast to some the other Winelands towns, Paarl aka The Pearl of the Winelands has styled itself as the adventure capital of the area, as well as being it's largest town.  Paarl is name after its  "Paarl Rock" or Pearl Mountain. The town is the third oldest in South Africa,  boasts the country's second oldest wine route as well as offering a large variety of running events, 4x4 trails, quad bike trails, rockclimbing and numerous festivals throughout the year.  The area is also associated with fruit production. 

Due to its history, its town centre similarly offers an abundance of Cape Dutch architecture and well-established trees with an abundance of wine farms in the outlying areas.  Val de Vie https://www.valdevie.co.za - and its Pearl Valley Golf Course - is a large gated community, which are also located within these outlying areas, offering residents luxury homes in beautiful surrounds with unparalleled levels of security and  extensive facilities.

Which number amongst the oldest schools in the country.
