The Smile Foundation

The Smile Foundation is a charity focused on providing support and medical assistance to needy children. Special attention is paid to children with facial conditions, such as cleft lips and palates, by providing them with access to free surgeries and ongoing medical care. As such, their goal is to ensure children who suffer from these conditions have the opportunity to smile and feel comfortable with themselves.

RADA (Rape, Alcohol, Drug Abuse), supported by Hamilton's Head Office

RADA is an extraordinary Umbrella NGO supporting multiple initiatives through various means, from clothing to financial aid and emotional support. 

RADA is dedicated to addressing many systemic issues, but they need your support. Hamilton's has created a Mandela Day initiative to help support their worthy cause. We're seeking donations and asking people to go through their clothing/bookshelves and donate any pre-loved goods you may have on hand. You may also donate blankets, beanies, scarves, and other types of warm clothing, as well as books and toys, to help support a worthy cause.

Saints Animal Charity

Saints Animal Charity is an organisation advocating for animal welfare and working towards improving the lives of abandoned domestic pets. They act as a parent group which supports 10 animal rescues and welfare facilities throughout Gauteng. They also rescue and rehabilitate abused or neglected animals, provide medical care, and strive to find loving homes for them.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation

The Nelson Mandela Foundation is a nonprofit organisation driven by continuing the legacy of the late President Nelson Mandela. The foundation takes a wholesale approach by promoting social justice, human rights, and equality. They support various initiatives and programs to address poverty, education, and health challenges throughout South Africa.

Johannesburg Child Welfare Society 

The Johannesburg Child Welfare Society is committed to protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of children in Johannesburg, South Africa. They provide various services, including child protection, family support, foster care, adoption, and early childhood development programs to ensure underprivileged children have the tools to grow and succeed in an ever-demanding social landscape.

The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (Nationwide)

The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation is dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and eradication of HIV/AIDS. As the epidemic remains just as serious now (particularly here in South Africa) as in the 90s, they are in constant need of support and funding. However, despite the challenges, They provide comprehensive healthcare services, including testing, treatment, counselling, and support, focusing on the most vulnerable communities where healthcare access remains poor.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA 

As part of an international organisation, The Cape of Good Hope Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) works to prevent animal cruelty, promote animal welfare, and provide shelter and care for abandoned, abused, and injured animals. They also strive to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and advocate for animal rights, taking a more preventative approach.

Constantia Primary School, supported by Hamilton's Cape Town 

Education in South Africa is the key to achieving success as an adult. However, many of our schools lack the necessary facilities to offer our children the tools to impact their lives.

Constantia Primary School is just one of these many schools we believe deserves your support. Constantia Primary School forms part of our Mandela Day initiative. We're asking for school bags, sporting equipment, stationary, storage containers (large), toys,  musical instruments and non-perishable food items. Ideally, people may drop donations at our office any day (office hours) leading up to 18 July or contact Hamilton's Property Practitioner directly to collect the donations if they reside in the Constantia area.

Safe Hands Animal Rescue Franschhoek, supported by Hamilton's Winelands

Safe Hands Animal Rescue Franschhoek (also known as SHARF) is a dynamic, non-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the community through its unwavering commitment to animal rescue and welfare. 

With boundless love for our furry friends, they have made it their mission to ensure their safety, well-being, and happiness. Their team of dedicated volunteers work day and night tirelessly to provide a haven for abandoned, neglected and abused animals in need of a second chance.

Just like KAWS, SHARF requires blankets and dog and cat food.

The Sunflower Fund

The Sunflower Fund is a nonprofit organisation with a particular goal in mind. They focus on raising awareness about blood stem cell donation and facilitating the registration of potential donors. They work to find matching donors for patients with life-threatening blood diseases and help save lives through stem cell transplantation.

Noluthando Child Feeding Kitchen and Uviwe Activity Centre, supported by Hamilton's Eastern Cape

Our focus for Mandela Day 2023 is to uplift Noluthando Child Feeding Kitchen and Uviwe Activity Centre. Child Welfare supports both of these activities on an ongoing basis but would like to add some extra attention to them on this special day by providing some 'extra special' materials.

Noluthando and Vuiwe are situated on Dingaan Street in the township of Ekuphumleni, where they support approximately 40 children between the ages of 4 - 12 years daily. Their mission is to ensure they are given a meal and are stimulated by educational after-school activities.

We're looking for carpets/mats, colourful tables & chairs, academic & learning materials i.e. chalk paint, books and stationery, food parcels, toys, blankets and clothing to brighten the day for a needy child. Please help us in this initiative!

The Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (CHOC) 

Childhood cancer is devastating, especially for those who lack the funds for lifesaving medical treatments. CHOC is an organisation supporting children with cancer as well as their families. KAWs and PAWs (Knysna & Plettenberg Animal Welfare), supported by Hamilton's Garden Route

Knysna Animal Welfare (KAWs) is an organisation working to protect and care for animals in the Knysna region, while PAWs, Plettenberg Animal Welfare, works to do the same in Plett and its surrounds. They both provide shelter, medical treatment, and adoption services for stray and abandoned animals while also promoting responsible pet ownership through education and awareness campaigns.

Masithandane Food & Crisis Relief 

Masithandane Food & Crisis Relief is a charitable organisation providing emergency relief and support to vulnerable individuals and communities. They distribute food, provide shelter, and offer assistance during times of crisis, such as natural disasters or social upheaval.
