Certainly, one of the most popular suburbs of the Southern Suburbs, is  located just a 10-minute drive out of Cape Town City Center. This suburb is a hub of activity as this vibrant area is made up of commercial buildings and residential properties alike. With its origins dating as far back as the 18th century when the area was given its name, the houses are well known for their characteristic wooden floors and high ceilings. Having emerged over the years as one of the commercial hubs in Cape Town, much development has taken place in order to meet an ever-increasing need.

Claremont is surrounded by a variety of golf clubs, luxury hotels and is also situated very close to the Newlands Forest, which offers hiking and running trails for the outdoor enthusiasts;  who may also be well served by the proximity to Arderne Gardens, an arboretum featuring many exotic trees.

The convenience of the proximity to the Constantia Vineyards cannot be underplayed.
